Can't get it to run correctly

So I finally thought I had it. But no. When I load into the game it's just the normal FNV loading thing, and I hit "New Game". After that it gives me the option to pick where to start. I chose Capital Wasteland. The intro scene starts with the baby but there is no voices to be heard and some weird red blocks. It goes further to the baby gate area and there are a bunch more red blocks. I don't know what to do, and I have zero computer skills. Any help would be appreciated.
