New Vegas companions activating purifier

This question just came into my head rn. I don't usually go to Vegas until after I complete Fallout 3's main story but I wondered if the radiation-immune companions from NV (i.e. Raul, Lily, and maybe ED-E) can activate the purifier for you? I suspect the answer is 'no' given that I would require adding extra dialogue but it would be cool if they could.

You're right, the NV companions can't activate the purifier.

But RoyBatty has been working on that for a while now (and even making it so it's easy for modders to allow modded companions to also turn the purifier on).
He mentioned it over on our Discord server, and I helped him test a problem he was having with it. I don't remember if he already fixed it or not or if he's still working on or taking a break from it, though.

I fixed the issue and the framework will be in the next release. We'll have to figure out some dialogue to use for the NV companions in order to allow them to do so.
