iNumHWThreads ini option causes freezes when set to a number greater than 2 when near a body of water with swimming NPCs
So I just found out that my game experiences random freezes when I set iNumHWThreads to a value greater than 2. This especially happens whenever I am near any body of water where there is at least one swimming NPC. When I set the iNumHWThreads ini tweak to 2, I was able to prevent the freezes most of the time. I also disabled water soft reflections and disabled water displacements to further prevent the freezes because setting iNumHWThreads to 2 wasn't enough on its own. To test this, I started a new game in the Mojave Wasteland with no other mods except for the recommended vanilla stability utilities like NVTF and NVAC. I also installed Uncut Wasteland, which among many other things adds NPC swimmers to the Ultra-Luxe Bathhouse pool. I then used the coc command to teleport to the Ultra-Luxe Bathhouse and then stayed there for up to 5 minutes to see if my game would freeze. Whenever I had iNumHWThreads set to 3 or higher, my game would freeze within a minute, even when I put all of the graphics options available at the launcher to the lowest possible value. When I changed iNumHWThreads to 2 and disabled soft reflections and water displacements, I never experienced a game freeze while staying there for five minutes. This looks to be an issue at the engine level, is it possible that it can be fixed?
