Just wanted to confirm a couple things before i get into the crashing issue ( i have also watched the installation guide video), I bought Fallout new Vegas and all the dlc, but its not the ultimate edition, could that be contributing to my crashing, also i dont want to use any other mods, i just want to play the game, so it should work to install TTW and its ready to play?
The crashing issue im having is addressed in the FAQ troubleshooting, but i dont understand it. My game crashes on startup, right before i load the main menu but after movie reel screen. I dont know what to do to solve this
Thank you!

Re: Crashing and general questions
If TTW installed without issues (and its English version fully patched for both games) I imagine it should work - somebody will probably correct if I'm wrong.shaddedcapps wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 2:00 pmbut its not the ultimate edition, could that be contributing to my crashing, also i dont want to use any other mods,
Mind that playing a modded version of a PC game assumes some knowledge and preparation from your part. TTW (and FO3/FNV) require fixes to play tiptop on nowadays machines.
Make sure the basic install of FO3/FNV can launch/play correctly in your system.
Setup Mod Organizer 2 and try to have these installed:
(latest versions and read the instructions if provided, most of this stuff is hosted on nexusmods.com and can be added after TTW was installed just as well)
xNVSE - https://github.com/xNVSE/NVSE/releases
New Vegas Heap Replacer
JIP LN NVSE Plugin
JohnnyGuitar NVSE (not really required unless you install additional mods that make use of it)
NVAC (new vegas anti crash)
NVTF (new vegas tick fix) - besides the instructions from its own page, you can try tweaking it according to this guide, see what works best for you - https://thebestoftimes.github.io/core-utilities.html
FNVModLimitFix
Then install TTW (create a folder just for it), after it is patched to 3.2.2, move the folder to MO2 (mods folder).
(To avoid issues with TTW overwriting newest versions of JIP LN NVSE, backup the contents of TTW\nvse folder and remove everything EXCEPT the nvse\plugins\ttw_nvse.dll)
TTW installer should patch the game exe to be 4GB - viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8781
Make sure your TTW profile for MO2 has Automatic Archive Invalidation checked.
(I also disable the profile-specific game INI files, but dunno if that is advised =P)
Never rely on the game auto save feature (disable it in options) because its buggy, always open up the menu and save manually.
It is a cruel joke that man was born with more intent than life.
