I assume I borked my game?

I've been running some tests on my game, so I won't be surprised if this save is wrecked -- but I assume I borked the save if talon mercs appear at level 3 with plasma weapons? They seem almost invulnerable to the assault rifle and can almost cause a one-shot vs metal armor. No big deal if it's messed up, I can use another save that is less ... contaminated with my mad scientist mod testing.
