Take it back

Post by NaEM34OrMe » Wed Aug 05, 2020 8:03 am

I started the quest to attack the purifier and at first everything works. The elder sarah and rothchild speak and I give the information to elder Lyons but after that nothing happens. They just stand around and dont do anything. I havent started Point Lookout so could that be the problem? If not then the ID of the quest would be helpful so I can set the stage of the quest.

Wait a bit, it can take a little while to progress but it does.

If not, then it's a mod interfering with it.

You also need to talk to Sarah.

I have waited for 20 minutes and nothing happened. When I enable player controls and talk to Sarah she doesnt have any new dialogue regarding the quest. When I talk to the elder the menu to report about the GECK and the enclave opens up again but nothing adwanzes the quest. I have 134 mods installed so figuring out which one is a problem is very tiresome. Is there a way to get the ID of the quest so I can set the stage for it?

One of your mods is breaking it, or you should install the mod limit fix.

Why are you using that many mods with TTW anyways, you probably are using stuff that breaks the game.

I don't think using the console with the quest ID will help in this situation. Because setting the quest stage will most likely break your game permanently.
Since setting the stage will not make the Lyons Pride move to the right spot, will not make Liberty Prime move to outside, walk and disable the force fields, will not set Colonel Autumn, etc. All of theses things (and more) are necessary to make the game function properly and be able to reach the ending credits. If they don't happen, the game will most likely be bricked, and no matter how many quest stages you activate using the console, you will never be able to properly activate the game ending slides and start Broken Steel. :?

Best chance is to get the Mod Limit Bug Fix mod that Roy mentioned up there, and load a save game before you enter the Citadel Lab.

If that doesn't work, then you should post your load order to see if anyone can help you detect mods that are causing issues, and hope that finding and removing the mod that is preventing the quest from working will fix this issue.

My problem is a common bug as I have found out on the Wiki. It is easy to fix it with the right commands and the item browser helped also. Thanks for your help.

I have never heard of this bug, the wiki is wrong a lot. Bugs are almost always caused by a mod. I have played this game thousands of times and helped thousands of people. Trust me here. Post a load order, we can probably figure it out rather quickly.
