DDid TTW finish installing?

So I decided to finally try installing TTW again. It took about 8 hours to complete due to my PC. When I checked to see if the installation had finished the progress bar had disappeared and I was at the same starting screen on the installer rather than the finished screen I saw on the video guide. I assumed nothing of this at the time, exited the installer and attempted to launch the game. Unfortunately, it wouldn't display the main menu and when I tabbed out it would crash. I looked online and luckily found plenty of people experiencing a similar issue. While I haven't explored every troubleshooting option I would like to know if it would be worth my time before doing so. Does the installation finish as soon as the progress bar disappears or is there more waiting after that?

There's a small delay after the progress bar completes while files are moved/renamed.
