Forgive me, I'm new to and awful at Modding.

Hello all,

Allow me to preface this by stating that I am very ignorant and new to modding, having only ever modded Sins of a Solar Empire, which is (as far as I can tell) FAR simpler of a process than modding games like Fallout 3 and NV. Basically, I don't know why I'm doing the things that I'm told to do, so I can't spot the common process to make modding simpler for me, across the board. But anyways, with that in mind, what in the H3LL did I do wrong, here?

*Note* - I am installing following the directions in the GamerPoets youtube video.

I'm attempting to install TTW, but I keep getting the notification stating: "You have decompressed Fallout: New Vegas BSA archives, TTW can be installed on the vanilla game version only. Please reinstall Fallout New Vegas and try again." I reinstalled and got the same notification, after having to browse for the New Vegas Path. *I have NOT modded 3 or NV in any way, at this point.*

For those of you wondering, this isn't the first time that I've attempted installing TTW, but the first time around was done by putting the TTW path in the NV data folder. I installed TTW with no issue the first time around, before I saw the part of the video stating where to place the path if you intend to use MO2 (which I do). So, not knowing what else to do, I moved the TTW files from the NV data folder to the MO2 path folder. Was this move noobish and incorrect, and should I move the files back to the NV data folder? Or should I delete all the things and start over entirely? (I'd rather not, since downloading TTW took somewhere around an hour, but will do what's necessary to make it work)

Two more things to add once I get 3.2 installed:

Installing the 3.2.1 and 3.2.2 updates and the JIP LN NVSE Plugin, is it as simple a process as placing the files in the correct folder and overwriting the old?

I am running Win10 and have had issues running FO3 without going into the properties and tweaking a few things. Will I have to "Run as Administrator" and/or make other adjustments to make it work in TTW, or will those tweaks already be made?

I apologize for the potentially stupid questions, but I'm asking them from a position of complete ignorance and looking to learn.

Thanks, in advance, for any and all help!

This is a common issue.

You need to manually delete the entire Fallout New Vegas folder (steam and gog only remove what they install) and redownload the game. You may then start over and do it as the video shows.

3.2.1 and 3.2.2 use the installer, just dump the mpi packages in the same folder as the installer. Don't worry, they don't take anywhere near as long as the base install. GP also made a video on how to update.

JIPLN NVSE can be installed through MO2.
