I'm very new to modding FNV (i.e., I've never done it before) but I know a few things about writing mods for FO4.
I like the Mobile Truck Base, but am partial to the functionality of driving the truck between the wastelands like in https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods ... escription However, according to one of the top posts on the mod it was not updated to 3.2.X This poster did, supposedly, edit the hardcore script which was the only real problem, but they note a few other issues (not recognizing homemade fuel, showing the wrong amount of time passing on your first trip, and supposedly not using fuel correctly when going on short vs long trips.
Now I think I identified in which scripts these sort of events are handled but here is the thing, I cannot seem to do anything about it! I make edits to the script in GECK and cannot seem to save changes AND I am finding the organization of quests a bit confusing (I'm so used to the FO4 version and being able to set properties, etc...).
Can anyone either a) help me out a tick; b) point me in a good direction; or c) point me to fixes for these problems?
I know there is a MTB TTW 3.2.X but you cannot drive across country in that and I really wanna.

The way travel is handled is different now, also handling the first time to NV need to be done carefully to avoid breaking stuff.

My major issue was setting up the GECK to handle NVSE for script editing. Now I got it.
I have mimicked what y'all did with the train trip to the MW and I think I got it working correctly; I'm at least happy with the outcome so far.
I also modified it to convert flamer fuels into truck fuel so now that works too. It is appropriately using the right amount of fuel for trips and I added a few little touches to the notifications.
