After completing Project Purity, NPC Dialogue BReaks

Post by Captain_Rex1447 » Fri May 01, 2020 7:46 pm

Hey guys, I installed TTW a little over a week ago and have thoroughly enjoyed it. However, once I completed the quest where I secure Project Purity for the Brotherhood, NPCs began to lose chunks of dialogue. For example, NPCs that roam around the citadel very rarely say anything know, and when I am able to engage in a conversation, they are completely mute and have no mouth movements. Another example is Mick, when you bring up Aqua Pura he has no voice and his mouth does not move. Most of the missing dialogue seems to revolve the Brotherhood and Project Purity.

You are missing the FPGE TTW patch for one, but the issue is probably that you have not installed the two incremental updates for TTW.

I remember installing the 2 consecutive updates for TTW but I'll definitely try again. I'll also try to find a patch for FPGE. Thanks for the help so far Roy!

@RoyBatty So, I've tried reinstalling TTW along with its patches and the issue still persists. I've also encountered another bug, when I found the satellite data for the BOS in the quest Death From Above I went to go talk to Paladin Tristan outside the base. After this, I went to my pip-boy and the world map was broken, icons, names, and the ability to fast travel were gone. Reverting to an old save was the only fix for this.

Secondly, I couldn't find a patch for FPGE specifically for TTW. The TTW variant on Nexus only comes with a BSA and the ESM seen on my load order.

Although these issues are relatively minor, I'm worried that the game is slowly breaking down. I've invested quite a lot of time into modding and I'd really like to enjoy all of FNV and FO3 one last time.
Thanks again!

Sounds like the bsa files weren't renamed/replaced, only a few people have had this issue and it was usually due to not running the installer as admin+having the game in Program Files on windows 10.

If your game is heavily modded, get the mod limit fix to correct any bizarre issues with assets.

I know for a fact that I ran the TTW installer with administrative privileges, also I only have 28 active plug-ins. I think that at this point its just down to my specific setup or an obscure error that my save has. I might keep trying to mess with it, but at this point I'm just going to accept the fact that Fallout 3 and New Vegas were never meant to be on my current pc. As a matter of fact, I haven't been able to play New Vegas on my PC since I upgraded from my Core i5 3470 years ago. Either way, thank you very much Roy. Your work has been a great help to me and the modding community in general.
