FCO conversion question

OK, so this is probably stupid, but I've been looking through the forums for a couple of hours now and don't see a definite answer. I understand that Fallout Character Overhaul is incompatible with TTW; what I want to know is, though, if the problem is *only* the missing child races? Or do the NPC race edits also break things? Basically, is it actually worth it to try and make a conversion/patch, or would it be better to just bite the bullet and make something roughly equivalent from scratch?

Awwwwe man, I was worried about that. I've used custom race alterations for player and NPC tattoos in vanilla FNV and FO3 before, but haven't tried it in TTW.
Thank you for responding so quickly. I'm not sure what sort of sorcery went in to getting TTW to actually work, so I appreciate that before I spent a gajillion hours on an FCO patch to find out it crashes the game anyway.

Would it be in any way possible to make a port of FCO without the race edits? One with only some of the textures/models from FCO to replace the default ones? I'm guessing that wouldn't break things, but I have no idea whether such a thing is possible. I'd be willing to put the time into making this port myself if it is though, purely for personal use of course, so as not to engage in mod piracy.

I too am looking to play TTW 3.2, but it just doesn't seem the same without FCO. Hit me up if you're interested in looking into this together, RageBear1984.

You could, but you'd also have to remove the superflous NPC edits it has like "can be all races" an other useless stuff. Then regenerate facegen/bodymod textures... which is sort of impossible since we have no tools to edit EGT files where the tint maps are.
