Is it just me or are Fallout 3/TTW DLCs kinda broken? (The Pitt, Mothership Zeta)
I am really confused. I played both Mothership Zeta and The Pitt and got really annoying issues in both. Zeta constantly crashed. Probably like 20 times in my playthrough and The Pitt often loaded cells wrong and then I had missing meshes on random objects, hardcore lag and even crashes. Reloading a save always fixed this issue but still... Are these issues known or is something wrong with my modbuild?
It is really weird because the maingame runs absolutely perfect and I had only 2 random crashes in 50 hours.

You must have other issues. I've gone through the FO3 DLC's several times while building and testing some mods with no issues. Nothing like what you've described anyway.

Weird. The thing is, I last played through Fallout 3/TTW like 4 years ago with the old TTW V2 version and I remember having similar issues then but cant remember that good.
Maybe its still the same mod conflicting but I dunno... I also remember that some other people complained about Zeta crashing quite often, especially in the Steamworks level (Had 8 crashes there). No idea about Pitt. The thing is, Pitt usually loads just fine but sometimes, very randomly the cells load incorrect and I get missing meshes and textures. Reloading fixes it so it isnt a permanent problem, which usually dont sound like a mod conflict.
Ah hell. Here is also a mod/plugin load order list but it would really wonder me if those are fault. Not like I use many or any that are supposed to change the TTW DLCs.

Roberts causes issues with Type4 armors, had someone in the discord already discover that
UPNVSE is redundant
using a bunch of texture packs with 2k/4k will also cause many issues.
Better saves is redundant, use stewies tweaks
Enhanced blood is placebo (blood in F3/NV is done by the engine and doesn't use textures/decals)
Dynavision has some script issues

Roberts: I know, that is why I got a TTW Type 4 patch also which seems to work fine. However, it seems like Roberts itself isnt properly optimized for TTW such as the Pitt Raider bodies being weirdly displayed, females all work perfect. Here is a patch btw, you also need a old version from Type 4 I think, which I have: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/67320RoyBatty wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 10:53 pmRoberts causes issues with Type4 armors, had someone in the discord already discover that

UPNVSE: Really? Is it integrated into YUP? If so I guess I will remove it.
Texture packs: Yeah I know they put heavy load on the game and the RAM, which I bypassed with ENBBoost, so far didnt have any texture problems. Game also loads within 1-2 seconds, got M2 SSD. But if there are any other issues, feel free to tell me. I override most with NMC anyway. Its just to upscale all the other textures that NMC doesnt provide.
Better Saves:
Yeah I actually knew that lol, just didnt get around to write the save stuff into stewies tweaks... Kinda incredible what those tweaks can all do.
Enhanced Blood: Really? I always felt like it displays more blood decals and the blood on floors is HQ. Then again I cannot remember playing without this in years... Maybe you are right, dunno.
Dynavision: I actually only use the color tweaks such as more saturation. Everything else is disabled. Didnt notice any issues. What script issues do you mean?
Thanks for the tips Roy. But which of these would collide with the DLCs? I dont see a reason why they would but then again I can try to disable them and if anything fixes the problem.

Re: Is it just me or are Fallout 3/TTW DLCs kinda broken?
If I recall the problems some people had in Zeta were related to too many texture packs. Zeta is hard on the engine as it is and people dumping loads of 4k texture packs on top of that caused the whole thing to crap itself. ENBBoost won't save you.
EDIT: Pitt is the same way come to think of it. Particularly with the effects in the steel mill.

Really? Lol. Never heard of something like this. How weird. I will try and see disabling any will fix it. I hope disabling Charges 4x pack is enough since that pretty much upscales all FNV textures to 4x the size. The rest is pretty much just NMC. Since I am at it I will also follow Roys tips and remove some of the unneeded mods.

Re: Is it just me or are Fallout 3/TTW DLCs kinda broken?
If you checked UPNVSE credits, I contribute a great deal to the mod and he shares his fixes with me so they are integrated into TTW mostly, I just gave him some more stuff from TTW 3.3.
I would guess ragdolls might be causing issues, MadAce didn't test it.
I mean even type 4 with the armor patch are not always the best made things, but it's probably ragdolls since it changes skeletons.
Yes, Enhanced Blood is placebo mostly, the screen platter is changed, and the static blood decals placed around the world. Dynamic blood is totally done by the engine and doesn't use any textures at all, it's not like Skyrim and on.

The last time I had issues like you describe was after I ran LODGen. Some areas looked fantastic, but others, like Broken Steel and the TTW train station, looked broken. Disabling all the new LOD files generated (into their own folder, thankfully, which made it easy to disable) fixed everything.

Re: Is it just me or are Fallout 3/TTW DLCs kinda broken?
Well how weird. I did all the changes to my mod build and tested this problem further. I even went so far to disable all mods except TTW 3.3.2 and... I still have the problem. Therefore the problem must either be in TTW or some of the ini edits. EDIT: I also now created fresh new inis from scratch. Problem still persists. Guess I just give up, cant track the issue down. Maybe something with my TTW files.
