Wasteland specific loot mod
Hey so this has probably already been done and/or asked for, but I can't seem to find anything so I thought I'd make a subject about it just to be totally sure; are there any mods or tweaks that exist for the newest version of TTW that limit the cross-wasteland loot? Like for example Chinese Assault Rifles and .32 Rifles appearing in the Mojave or Chainsaws, alternative ammo and Caravan Shotguns popping up in the Capitol Wasteland? I usually like it, and I know most people do, but I've been trying and failing to play normal Fallout 3 on every platform and TTW is now my last real shot at playing it, and I kinda want to keep it as close to vanilla as possible. So are there any mods or settings anyone knows off to stop the crossing over of leveled lists between wastelands? Anything you could tell me would be much appreciated. I'm a long time fan of the project, it remains one of my favorite games, and this would really enhance the experience for me. Thanks again and I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

The game itself limits cross-wasteland loot. You have to add mods to get that cross-wasteland loot, and there's at least a couple of those mods in the mod release section of the board here. Interesting request as most of the requests I've seen here tend to be asking for MORE cross-wasteland loot, not less.

Wait seriously? Yeah lol, I realize the request is the opposite of the norm you would see, I just get a bit sick of having Vegas loot in the Capitol Wasteland. It was cool the first 27 times, but now I want a more untarnished Fallout 3 experience. If that makes sense. So you're saying my best bet is to play it without mods? Because yeah, I can buy Plasma Defenders and alternative ammo at Moira's, say, or GRA Plasma Pistols. And find Chainsaws on Raiders. Kinda breaks things a little.

Given Fallout 4, certain items would seem to be expected on either coast, so I imagine a few things will be now found in DC that come from NV, but I don't remember anything egregious before adding a couple mods to increase the amount of NV stuff in DC. Some stuff would be expected given that there's a trade route across the US according to lore, and we see things in bog-standard DC that you wouldn't expect, like iguana on a stick. I'd expect such a ubiquitous item as a chainsaw to be in DC given that it already has rippers, which are a mini-chainsaw. I'd fully expect raiders to have chainsaws instead of rippers.
If there are specific items you don't like and don't think would be trade items or think appear too often, check in FNVEdit and see if they are part of a mod, or if they're part of TTW. Then you can decide if you want to keep the mod, or if you think a mod should be made to remove the item from TTW if that's where it's from.
