Pink title screen even after fix

I've tried the installation process 4 times, following the recommended Youtube tutorial, and I looked at the potential fix in the FAQ about Pink Screens, but I cannot get the game to work.

However, if I launch the game through MO2, I get the wrong resolution, but I get the appropriate TTW main menu with no pink.
But if I launch it through Steam I get the pink screen issue.

You have to launch the game through MO2 if you installed it through MO2.
