Fallout 4 is better in one respect: if your monitor has a refresh rate >60 Hz, Fallout 4 runs faster than 60 Hz just fine. Whatever the highest rate the panel supports, it works with Fallout 4. What kills Fallout 4 is turning off the presentation interval to try to go faster than the panel supports. THAT breaks FO4, and doesn't look so good in any case, so it's a waste. If you want 120 Hz, get a 120 Hz monitor.Lyndi wrote: ↑Mon Oct 14, 2019 9:29 pmBethesda games have always been sensitive to framerate. FO4 is probably the worst of the bunch. An excessively high fps in that game can result in all kinds of weirdness like the player moving extremely quickly, the lockpicking mini-game completely breaking, and cars bouncing into space.

Re: Voice Out of Synch
I've got a 165hz monitor and the game still breaks if I don't turn on g-sync. I haven't played that game in years though so something may have changed. I just hope they finally get their thumb out of their ass and fix their crap for Starfield.

My apologies, I misunderstood what you were saying. Bethesda games are the only ones I've played since the 386 era that totally break if your hardware is too good. Anyway, I get irritated talking about Bethesda and their broken crap so I'll just shut up now.

I understand. I can't remember the last game I played that ran batty if the system was too fast... Some old PC Psygnosis game? DOS era for certain. It's insane that something as new as Fallout 4 still has issues without vblank sync turned on. That shit should have been fixed back with Morrowind, never mind Fallout 4.

just an FYI, I figured out how I assign an exe to one CCX via process lasso.
tested it with another game and it worked fine.
