MCM giving error

Post by PrestonGarvey » Thu Sep 26, 2019 5:33 pm

Hi all, was hoping someone knew a solution to this.

Image

Haven't done anything different other than install TTW, I do have mods that'll use it installed but yeah MCM isn't work as above.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Off the top of my head:
- Install MCM bugfix 2 under the updates section (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42507?tab=files) if you have not already.
- Do not override it with Project Nevada's.
-Throw away/abandon/burn Vortex & NMM if you are still using them.
- Read up on how to install .fomod if you use MO2.

Rightio, thanks for the reply, in order...

-Yup, tried with and without

- haven't got any project Nevada stuff

- Instructions unclear; quantum harmonizer stuck in photonic resonation chamber.

- right...I'm now assuming it's not a case of just adding it through MO2 and letting it set itself up?

Thanks

hmm, regrettably I can't think up of anything else that could cause a basic mod like MCM to fail. This reddit link probably could give you some insight: https://www.reddit.com/r/FalloutMods/co ... _with_mo2/

I had that exact same problem until I installed UIO and got the load order right. It goes, UIO, MCM, Darn, then DarnMCM. At least it's that order for me. Oh, and I also installed the Darn hotfix directly in the Darn folder in the MO2 mods folder.

Thanks, this worked! Though I just used MO2, I didn't do anything too manual.

I used MO2 for everything but the hotfix. I tend to stick hotfixes in the original folder by hand rather than making them separate.
