Installation time on 3.2

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I couldn't find any similar threads, basically my installer at most has made it to 30% through the processing bar after hitting install but that alone took almost 24 hours which after watching the installation video doesn't seem right at all. I have a quad core 3.6GHz intel cpu which would seem to be plenty powerful to get the installer done in a much shorter time but could it have something to do with my hard drive or something? If anyone takes the time to read through this and try and help me out I'd really appreciate anything.

Sounds like it hung because your AV or defender blocked something. I have an i4790k and it takes about an hour.

It's not exactly hung it's just I can't have it slowing my PC right down for 3 days straight if it's going to be this slow

Sounds like it's throttling your cpu because your cooling is insufficient. it's multithreaded and run all available cores at max.

3 days is ridiculous, do you have a pentium 4?

Been checking my temps after starting it again and my cpu hasn't gone above 40 degrees celsius as I run water cooling, kinda have to in the AU summer and no I don't have a Pentium 4 , haven't really had any slowdowns with this cpu for anything else but I'm just going to let it go for 3 days as I've been looking forward to playing TTW 3.2 for awhile.

Ok even installing without the encoding stops/slows at 44906/201986 in about 20-30 mins, surely I can't be the only person who has this problem? Ok the installer progressed to 44907 while writing this.

Unfortunately, you're really the only person that ever reported this problem .
That's why we have no idea why it's happening to you.

Even on my laptop it "only" takes between 6 to 8 hours.

I seem to remember that it sat "forever" at about that point, so I went off and did something else for a couple hours, and when I came back, it was done. I'm using an FX6300, and it didn't take more than a couple hours... not sure how long as it finished while I was doing something else.

I've had the installer going for 13 hours and its sitting around 49000/201896 and going incredibly slow. I cleared my hard drive up a couple hundred gbs and am checking my temps in case its throttling like roy said and I've checked av and such but haven't found anything to fix it.

Yeah, this situation is really out of the ordinary. I wish I had some way of helping.
