Player grunts/screams when experiencing fake explosions

Hi

I found in TTW player grunts/screams when experiencing fake explosions (explosions without damage, e.g. dismemberment explosion, Lonesome road rock slides, building collapsing) and LOS-blocked explosions (player is within blast radius but does not have line of sight to explosion, e.g.throw a grenade behind cover).

In vanilla FNV player wont make a sound, although DT icon (red shield) will show up sometimes.

This is very annoying and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Restoring vanilla FNV "sound\voice\falloutnv.esm\playervoice(fe)male" doesn't work. There is no GMST I know of that control this.

Perhaps it's scripted ? I'd appreciate it if someone can help me out.

It will be fixed in the update, it is indeed scripted because it's broken completely in NV.

don't recall off hand, it's an event handler. All it needs added is to check if the entity takes > 0 damage.

Could you please tell me if the quest / script has vanilla editor ID or it's added by TTW and not presented in vanilla game ?

Its added by TTW. Sorry I can't look, game is uninstalled as I'm retired and I don't recall.

OK I found it.

It's TTWGenericHandlerScript and TTWHitFunctionScript.

TTWGenericHandlerScript is a global event handler, one line executes TTWHitFunctionScript when "OnHit".

TTWHitFunctionScript does some additional checks and play the sound.

Since I don't know how to add damage check, I just commented out the lines in TTWHitFunctionScript.

Be aware that TTWHitFunctionScript is NVSE-dependent, so GECK has to be launched by NVSE if you want to edit it.

TTW is NVSE/TTWNVSE/JIPNVSE dependant, you should use geck extender and the patch.

Generic handler is not an event handler, but the hit script is.
