CTD after leaving Vault 101 and Galaxy News station

I keep getting a crash after I leave vault 101. Standing near the entrance of the vault causes no problems even after waiting for everything else to load. However once I move far enough to get the Galaxy News station, the game immediately crashes.

From the link provided for you, I guess you missed:
2. Project Nevada. Anything but the core module is incompatible with 3.2+, that means Equipment, Rebalance and Cyberware are not compatible, Rebalance and Cyberware can be patched but Rebalance needs AI changing removed, Equipment can not be patched and is largely redundant with Fallout 3.

- IIRC FCO bakes into your save data even if you remove the mod which you had on your first LO.
- Vortex suck without some tweaking.
- The list the link provide isn't a full list.
- Learn to use FNVEdit to check and solve conflicts.
- Learn the do and don't on modding.
- FNV is such an old game and there are all sorts of wikis and tutorials available.

For whatever the reason, the culprit was CASM with MCM. Every time that mod was loaded, instant CTD when the Galaxy News Radio signal popped up that first time outside the vault. Uninstall it, and I can keep walking down the road to Springvale or wherever off to the right to Megaton so it's not the location, it's at the discovery of the signal. I know the mod is on the recommended mod list as safe, but this is what happened to me and it's on the OP's list (along with his other mod mistakes) as well.

I even stripped my load order down to TTW (with JIP and NVSE obviously), quick start (so I can repeat quickly), and CASM. Same results, CASM=CTD exactly at the same moment of Galaxy News Radio discovery, without CASM no ctd.

Hey, it has been a while and thanks for the help. I should have got back to you. As it turns out WizardOfAtlantis had the same problem I did with CASM. I have been enjoying your amazing mod for quite a while now but lately I have been running into a problem. The load times are getting so long that the game is almost unplayable. This has mostly become a problem as I have completed the New Vegas DLC. Although, throughout my entire play through, I have had to start a new game with your quickstart mod and then load my save game to ensure it loaded reliably. Here is my current load order. Is there a way to improve things or am I stuck with the long load times?

Too many mods for your system. I use that same criteria for judging when to start cutting back: more frequent CTD, and (in particular) having to load an old save/new start before loading the current save. It's the same with all Bethesda games, but I had the most issue with this on Oldrim (non-special edition Skyrim) as it could handle more mods, encouraging me to use more mods.
