I run in fullscreen and only had a crash once using Quick Start. Most of the time it starts fine. I've done several new games as I slowly add mods to get the game where I want. Yeah the bloody autosave system, it crashes in Fallout 3 there too with no mods. Turn it off.
Used Quick Start to start the game hundreds of time, there is nothing changed on the door that would break it.
