Sound crackle, installed without reencoding

Post by Bambamdog » Fri Apr 26, 2019 1:52 am

Hello, I Just install TTW and got crackled voices, I am wondering if I could reinstall TTW with Reencoding while the other is already installed, or did I need to reinstall new Vegas then install with reencoding?

Depends on if you installed into the base dir or into a folder for use with a mod manager. If for a mod manager you can reinstall. If you installed into the base game directory you will have to manually delete the folder (in explorer not in steam) and redownload and install.

I found that if I used Creative Alchemy's DirectSound wrapper, the sound would crackle. Make sure you haven't put dsound.dll in the same folder as FalloutNV.exe
