Cant run TTW installer (0xc000007b error)

Hey guys, I actually love this mod's point but I cant get it working for me.

When I run EITHER (batch or .exe) TTW installer I get a classic error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).

Didnt find any solutions on TTW forums so Ive searched somewhere else

Now, this is what I did with none of that working (ON WIN7):

-Updated Windows 7 Service pack 1 (+all minor system updates via windows update)
-Installed fresh Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2
-Installed all those LATEST Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable updates (2013,2015), the 2017 version is overwriting my 2015 version so I left that
-Performed disk check via cmd (chkdsk C: /f /r)

-Made sure that TTW installer folder is extracted properly without anything missing
-Made sure that installer is running as administator and have full access in properties security tab
-Started both games before opening the installer
-Tried removing oggenc2.exe from TTW folder


Any more ideas for a solution? If not I prob have to accept that I wont play this

Yeah sorry for the spam.

After 6 hours I’ve actually fix that

the problem was some missing dlls that Dependency walker showed me after loading the installer in and I’ve also installed the x86,x64 2017 C++ runtimes that overwrote my 2015’s (which I was awared of cos in 3.2.1 readme is u should have 2015 runtimes) but its all fine now.

You need to install the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables. Both the 32 and 64 bit versions (like Roy mentioned a couple posts ago).

first it was telling me VCRUNTIME140.dll is not found then i downloaded the dll and put it in system32 and SysWOW64 then when i run the app it says the app was unable to start correctly (0x000007b) and then i downloaded Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables as you told me and i still have the same error .

oh i downloaded every single one since 2005 up to 2019 both 86 and 64 bit and now its working

Please, never do this. This is the fastest way of getting viruses, trojans and other malware on your computer.
When you are missing some .dll, first find out what software that .dll is from and then install that software after you got it from a trustworthy source.
