.44 Scoped Magnum Misfire: bug or feature?
I've been having a problem with misfiring when I fire a .44 Scoped Magnum or Sawed-off Shotgun in V.A.T.S.
I understand there's a skill and strength requirement, but how do I tell if they're met?
I have a Strength of 6 and 50+ points in guns.
I do use the TTW optional files; Is my game doing what it is supposed to? If so, what am I missing?

The weapon fires during the kickback, sending the bullet in the wrong direction.

Guns are hitscan in New Vegas, the bullet goes wherever you were aiming when pulling the trigger. If you use animation replacers it will be incompatible with TTW.

I went through my load order just in case, but I don't seem to have any animation mods. I've got a few texture packs and reskins, but nothing involving animation changes, as far as i can tell.

I can't reproduce this issue. Just spent 30 minutes shooting all kinds of enemies in VATS with a .44 Scoped Magnum and a couple with a Sawed-Off Shotgun, and the bullets come from (in front of) the barrel (like it should).

I've tested all the weapons extensively and had no such issues. Can you make a video demonstrating what you mean?

Re: .44 Scoped Magnum Misfire: bug or feature?
I'm not sure I have the right software/equipment to record gameplay.
I'm not 100% sure what I did, or even if I fixed the problem, but I haven't been able to reproduce the bug. In the past, it just snuck up on me in the middle of battle. (Usually against Super Mutants)
The only thing I have done differently is update the JIP LN NVSE plugin.
