How to create a Fallout3 MOD for TOTW?

Post by Hyno Designs » Fri Feb 22, 2019 1:09 am

Needless to say, from reading on this site, Custom Fallout 3 mods don't port over. Some conversion system is used.

My question is how does one convert a Fallout 3 Custom MOD to work with the TOTW FNV engine.

Only experienced authors should attempt to convert mods for TTW, this is not something you can learn in a day or be taught in a tutorial.

There is an xEdit script package already provided to aid in this, along with detail of differences and snafus in the topic.

That is not really the answer I am looking for. Maybe I have to send you my mod to convert for me. (The file is massive) When it is complete. To be honest as far as companion mods, detailed NPC's and Weapons you will not find anything better than this. My problem is, I like changing things up and going back in and adding things. Extra dialog, fixing errors and so forth. Look I never released any of this stuff to the public. A fully voiced Clint Eastwood and Snake Plissken with full outfits and guns and the actual gun fire sounds they used is pretty cool. The combat dialog with blow you away especially when they fight against Scarface aka Tony Montana.

I personally don't fully understand how this engine works.

Again my guess is that FNV is the master file and you slave in the Fallout 3 file. If someone could edit the GECK to load up a master file of both worlds and than some how port over all new scripted data in the ESP file than it would convert. With that theory you should than be able to make changes and save.

Building this platform you had to weave this in. I read you built the companion wheel so this is possible.

Here is a strange question. Can you build a quest from the Kings Factions to go rescue Elvis in Canterbury Commons and have the thing work.

Wat? In other topic you say you have problem with even installing TTW and MO2 and now you are offended that you didn't get treatment like some highly experienced modder?

Lyaneri I seem to make friends fast. How the hell do I know how to use a bloody program that I've never seen in my life?

Never said I was some super duper computer genius, I just have the single best companion and weapons mod on the planet, I know that cause I know what I have and the type of work that I do. Plus while building it I've downloaded hundreds of mod's, so I know what is around. I took the best of the best, plus I am a pro-graphics designer and audio master. One of the most detailed designers around. You don't build golf courses like Pine Valley and Augusta National and kill the detail if you don't have an eye for it or you know not what your doing.

Could have shown off my YouTube channel, however once I get over 50 million views it seems the YouTube Nazi police like to shut me down. That work was even better. Trust me your have no freakin idea. It is amazing cause while you are making it great, others are stealing your work and content and uploading it to phantom channels. Trust me when I say this, I was the biggest in the world in my field.

I watch these videos on YouTube saying Top 10 companion mods and I just laugh cause these people have no idea what I've done.

Some of the mod people are very good at what they do, same with the program "HACKER" guys. Trust me, I wish we had these types over at the TWC cause our golf game needs experts like this to revamp an out dated Tiger Woods game.

Now that I am done my rant. This short video is basically what I designed in the Fallout New Vegas game and Fallout 3 game back in 2011 to 2013. The way I mixed the audio in to this video is the same way it plays and works in the Fallout games. I am going to release a sample over at Nexus and it is my VATS replacer mod. Once you try this, you will never want to use the normal VATS again.

For a Few More Dollars (Audio Remastering and Mixing) Quad Remix

This was from my back up channel.

My Notes:

Wanted to push the bounties what could be done creatively with a blank piece of paper, an idea, a vision, with no direction. Don't have some special software to build something on this scale. The video was all done with imagination....

No video exists from this concert....

Atom Heart Mother, played live at the Paris Theatre July 16, 1970

Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother - Paris Theatre - (Final Cut Mix)
https://youtu.be/7_1AAKBW4eg

I wish I still my masterpiece of "In My Time of Dying" uploaded, here is something on a smaller scale

FYI (I took this entire concert and REMASTERED it to the BEST SOUNDING bootleg of this CONCERT ever produced. Again I have the CD's and built it and remastered it with my soundboard mixer.)

You say this this a big EGO, well you have idea what goes in to taking a poor soundboard recording , mixing it, recording it through filters, removing hiss, putting it through analog filters remixing and re-recording to a master tape and than filtering it back through mixer to get a final digital audio output. Than getting the DB levels correct so you don't clip the recording. Believe me I should just move to Japan and go work for Empress Valley.

Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You - Houston 77

My Notes:

Hyno Designs Production - The Dragon Snake

No video was ever shot for this concert. Well the rumor is maybe???

Remastered audio - soundboard recording by Empress Valley, which was taken and remixed using old school equipment in analog. The end results turned out really good considering most of the hardware was from the 1980ties.

Now on the video side, have done a few of these in the past were you mix video to audio, it is a lot harder than it looks. It is a creative process to say it best. The footage used was all from 73 MSG.

Since I've Been Loving You - TSRTM
Since I've Been Loving You - HTWWW
No Quarter - TSRTM
Dazed and Confused - TSRTM
Moby Dick - TSRTM

The end result is a music video from the 77 Zeppelin Tour, Houston Texas

(You tell me who the hell can sync up a video like this with NO ACTUAL video just mixing and matching random clips with advanced editing?)

Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You - Houston 77

Again too bad YOUTUBE shut down my MAIN channel cause I could have shown you stuff that would make your head spin. Granted some of them had real view counts in the hundreds of thousands.

I laugh at scientology and the idiots that follow it.

Don't have video game capture software, have to make do with the crap I have. Here is an example of what I am talking about. You are bringing all the concepts of my FEW DOLLARS MORE video and bringing it to life in to a video game.

Just put this sample together.
