@RoyBatty
So you mean those two mods don't fix the missing sound effects? Is there another mod that actually does fix the issue?

@Zhunter5000
Are you saying that you don't have the missing sound effects issue I mentioned on your vanilla non-TTW new vegas profile? Keep in mind, the missing sound effects issue I described is happening on my vanilla profile, not my TTW profile. Anyway, here is my load order:

FalloutNV.esm
DeadMoney.esm
HonestHearts.esm
OldWorldBlues.esm
LonesomeRoad.esm
GunRunnersArsenal.esm
ClassicPack.esm
MercenaryPack.esm
TribalPack.esm
CaravanPack.esm
YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm
YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp
The Mod Configuration Menu.esp
CASM with MCM.esp
Armor Replacer Child NPC Fix.esp
Unofficial Patch NVSE.esp

I am on Windows 10 Home. I do have the MCM bug fix as well, and I also have Type 3 Body loaded as well. I also have the JIP plugin, NVAC, NVSR, UIO, Vanilla UI Plus, and Collision Meshes.

No they don't, I could get Void to add that fix to the NVSE patch, but yup cannot do it because how I'm doing it requires NVSE. I would like to fix how it's broke at the engine level though.

Ok, replacing the RAM did not work. I also transferred the exact same TTW profile over to my laptop, which uses a NVIDIA 1060 and a 4-core intel processor and it has the exact same audio lag problem. So it can't be hardware I think. That points to either a Windows or driver issue. Or maybe an issue in the ini settings. Does anyone have this kind of problem in any Windows 10 version since the Fall Creator's update?

Try iMaxSizeForCachedSound=2048

I didn't know if this setting help you or not, but recently when I upped the iMaxSizeForCachedSound setting most of my sound lag gone. Give me feedback if this setting work for you.

Well that setting seemed to help a little, but I still got the lag. I also should indicate that I have been using OneTweak to force borderless fullscreen window mode. Even when I just use normal full screen and delete OneTweak, I still get the audio lag. Also I just noticed that not only the audio lags, but also when I try to switch weapons, bring up the Pip Boy, or when I use the grenade hotkey from Project Nevada, the actions are also delayed along with the audio lagging. So is this issue more than just an audio problem? I should note I am not using any overlays.

Ok I increased that setting to 8192 and it really delayed the audio lag issue until much later, but it didn't prevent it. Would it be safe to double that value? I do have 16 gb ram. Is there another way I can solve this issue?

Don't know if high setting is better or not. Recently on my new playthrough, which I got TTWinterior and AWOP installed, I try tweak my setting so that it got more stable. I pretty satisfied with my setup now although I had few lag but not the audio.
Here what I do:
1. Rid NVSR, get NVTF on nexusmod
2. Setting iMaxSizeForCachedSound to 2048
3. Set iPresentInterval (game VSync) off, use RTSS (RivaTurnerStatisticServer) to limit my FPS to 58.
4. Rid ENBoost, because meh..never help me.
5. Rid OneTweak, because I want experiment something, in the end, i got rid it for good.

I can say NVTF actually help me on this because when I use it, my game do not CTD anymore (except on few occasional) and got pretty stable fps. The number 3 is because I on AMD card so If you have Nvidia, better limit at Nvidia setting.
I on Win7 with old laptop with AMD Radeon card, if I able achieve this, you pretty much better than me when got right settings. Don't give up!

Also, I never had audio lag in vanilla FNV before. Weird system you have there, bud.

*Sigh* well it turns out that none of the settings I changed nor any of the suggestions in this thread made absolutely no difference whatsoever. The audio lag seems to happen at random but happens sooner when there is intense combat. The only thing left I can try is to somehow roll back my NVIDIA graphics driver. But if that doesn't succeed (which it probably won't), I may just have to say that gamebryo sucks.... oh well..........

I never had lag either, when I did, it was caused by NVSR and/or antivirus product.

Welp, I rolled back my Nvidia driver to 398.36 and I still get the audio lag. So unless there is something wrong with my ini settings, I guess Gamebryo just hates my laptop and my desktop. So I guess I should just live with this audio lag bug?
