Maximizing game play-through.
Hello all, and if it isn't too much to ask some veterans who know these two games so well....
How do i maximize my game playthrough?
What i honestly want to do is only follow the main quest of fallout 3 and then fallout new vegas, no DLC or extra objectives; just to get the main stuff out of the way that seems time sensitive and important. If i remember correctly when i was in high school and had enough time to straight play fallout 3 and fallout new vegas (Like some 5 years back) If you follow the main quest only to the end, you miss out on some extra quest. Is there a wiki/article on what these quest are? because i've searched everywhere and can't find an answer....
So now, i've decided to ask some longtime Veterans who know this game in and out; maybe some of you in the forum.
Please and thank you.

Re: Maximizing game play-through.
I do quite the opposite and tend to wander around and do whatever strikes my fancy and enjoy the game rather than take a set path, I also don't ever fast travel so I don't miss unique encounters or miss places to explore. Rushing through the main quests robs you of loads of content, I don't personally know why people play games that way. Also what you do along the way affects the main quest, particularly in New Vegas.

Hmmm, i can see that.
But i also have a excessive compulsive disorder, if i take care of the urgent thing first so i don't have to worry about it later on... i can have fun and do useless stuff like save Miss abernathy's cat from the tree in the future; Funny enough, fallout 4 is the first game where i don't care for the main story... They shovel it in your face.

Do Fallout 3 main story first.
Beware of Fallout New Vegas main story, because the game does not allow to play after you beat it without mods.

You can install a mod called play after game ending or something which allows you to keep going.DeidreTheHumble wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 4:37 amI already knew that haha, i meant just changing the strip and never doing the dam mission ending piece.
