how to update from very old ttw to New

Hello, i just started up my fallout after 4 years of not playing, i found the newest version of TTW and was wondering if it'd be possible to just Install the new version over the old one. or how would i update without having to Uninstall everything from scratch. i have 5 years worth of modding on my game an it runs flawless. although i want to Update TTW to newest version. without having any issues or having to reinstall years of work. would it be okay to just Install the newest version over the old one with all mods disabled. or do i have to completely start from Sratch?

You must make a new install. Even 2.9.4b users had to do a fresh install again.

TTW went from a "merging two games mod" to a Fallout New Vegas total conversion. A lot has changed from the old 2.9.

It is really not compatible anymore, and it requires both FO3 and FNV games to be "untouched" by mods, or any other alterations (so you can't have "cleaned" the game files) before installing TTW 3.+.

TL,DR: You can't install over old TTW versions, you can't install using modded FO3 or FNV games. You have to use vanilla/untouched games to install TTW 3.+.
