Can't Buy ticket to Capital Wasteland

I've read the FAQ and it just seems to cut off half way I've read the forum a bit and it doesn't have an answer it says I need $100 to buy a ticket and I have a $100 NCR bill am I doing something wrong?

$100 in old world money, the NCR didn't exist 200 years ago :)
