Frequent crashes - mostly when entering Pipboy menu

Frequent crashing, seems pretty indiscriminate, but happens mostly when entering the pipboy menu. I'm not using any custom Pipboy replacer, just an improved texture.
I have tried disabling Faster Pipboy Faster, but that did not solve the crashes.

I have NVAC, and NVSR is configured according to the FAQ. I'm using Mod Organizer 2 and FNV is installed outside of system files. I'm on windows 7, on decent specs.

I'm completely stumped, can't figure out whats wrong.

Maybe its VUI+ or anything that touch pipboy ui. Did you update VUI+ to latest version (7.57)? Also Axonis released Vanilla HUD Remastered patch at ModDB, be sure to grab that.

Hey, I use California font too. Neat isn't it?

Now I get a reproducible crash, I fast travel to Springvale School, sleep in the bed till morning and as soon as I try to go back into the wasteland, I crash.

Didn't know about that, I haven't had any pipboy crash myself since using VUI+ only before this I had crash after loading game and it was cause by VUI+. Axonis notices that and fix it.

Hmm..you know, I too had a crash related to bed, only thing is I just look at the bed then it will crash. It happen to me on Statement hotel and several other place like inside the metro. I will investigate more about this. For now maybe you should ignore from sleeping or interacting with bed that have issues.

Well, if I disable California fonts the crashes disapear. Super weird.

Perhaps I grabbed the wrong version with VUI new font tweaks. I'll check.
