The Mods list is starting to get large, and the current forum setup makes it impossible to differentiate a rare mod Update from a more common new user post.
I know this isn't easy on a forum, but LoversLab solved the problem many years ago, by by creating a Support Topic Subforum page. that mirrors the single post topic Download pages description. as the Support Topic's first post with a big button linking to the downloads page at the top.
Only updates to the Mods Download Page, bump that to the top of the Downloads subforum, whilst all posts, and changes to the Mod's Support Topic, only affect the Support Topic.
Whilst it's not perfect, as any change to the mods description, bumps the page, it's far superior to every user post doing that, as the current setup demands.
The advantage of the method is, as it's tracking changes to forum posts, it makes no difference where the actual files are hosted, changing the link to a new file is enough to bump the page.
I don't know how easy it would be to adapt the LL forum code to do this here, as there on an Invision Board, and TTW is on phpBB, but it's likely to be a good starting point, the LL Admin's user name is Ashal.
You wouldn't even need the fancy downloads Popup part, as a link in the description is all it really needs.
At it's most basic, mirroring the opening post as a one post downloads topic, with automatically added links between the Support and Download Topics is all that's required.
That would make it much easier to find out that a mods updated.

I'd think it'd be a good idea if everyone cross-posted their mods on the Nexus, and linked to them in their forum posts here. Aside from significantly more visibility, an integrated change log, all around better organization, & a host of other things, Nexus includes mod tracking functionality that notifies you if a mod is updated.
At least that's my 2¢.

I can't agree more. Unless they find a new method for this forum I think that's a great idea.Langeston wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 11:52 pmI'd think it'd be a good idea if everyone cross-posted their mods on the Nexus, and linked to them in their forum posts here.
