TTW 3.2 - GECK crashes when loading TaleOfTwoWastelands.esm

This is fairly odd.

The following active masters does not crash the GECK:

FalloutNV.esm
DeadMoney.esm
HonestHearts.esm
LonesomeRoad.esm
GunRunnersArsenal.esm
Fallout3.esm
Anchorage.esm
ThePitt.esm
BrokenSteel.esm
PointLookout.esm
zeta.esm
CaravanPack.esm
ClassicPack.esm
MercenaryPack.esm
TribalPack.esm


But if I then load TaleOfTwoWastelands.esm, the GECK will crash after loading for a few moments. To see if it was a memory issue, I enabled the LAA flag on the GECK.exe, but that made no difference. Didn't have this issue with TTW 2.9.4b

i can confirm that this also happens to me. i was trying to convert a mod for ttw and i was looking around for help to see why i couldn't convert the mod using the geck. now i know why... i can't offer any help on my end. i am a complete and total novice at using the geck, sorry.

I found the solution. First, you must change sArchive= to the following in GeckCustom.ini:

SArchiveList=Fallout - Invalidation.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Meshes2.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa

Second, you must install GECK Extender: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64888

nope... didn't work for me :cry:. i think ill try a clean install. thanks for trying to help me though!

You using MO2? In the Profiles button is a box to checkmark Archive Invalidation.

Also, I was told MO2 doesn't control archives anymore, but if you want Fallout - Meshes2.bsa checked in the MO2 list put this in your fallout.ini under archive.

i tried it, no luck. been at it for hours now. geck still crashes for me. i turned on archive invalidation in nexus mod manager and did as suggested putting :
SArchiveList=Fallout - Invalidation.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Meshes2.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa
under both geckcustom.ini and fallout.ini. no luck. although i now know my problem is not related to taleoftwowastelands.esm because my geck doesn't even open up falloutnv .esm when using the extender... i am done for the night, been at it for 5 hours off and on. i would still like to know how to use the geck however. i might just have to wait and request that my favorite mods are converted because clearly i can't do it myself :( . anyway thanks for trying!

You can't use Nexus Mod Manager.

Nexus Mod Manager is not supported by TTW or using the GECK with TTW. This is a NMM problem, not a TTW problem.
