Re: [TTW v3.2] Help with GECK .ini Edits

My GECK, once I've loaded all the masters, is displaying many many red exclamation points (in Springvale).

Should I decompress the BSAs?

Am running everything as admin. Have pasted the archive list in the MO2 Fallout.ini (mostly so MO would check meshes2 under the archive tab).

-edit- also noticed the regular FALLOUT.INI (not MO) is set to read only.

-edit02- how do I add the -editor extension to NVSE for the GECK Extender in MO2? When I 'modify the executable' (in MO) by directing it to the modified NVSE shortcut it only runs the loader and just starts the game.
**SOLVED** put the -editor in Arguments in the Modify Executables window in MO2

in the Fallout New Vegas installation folder (where the executables are), there should be a GeckCustom.ini where you can make the same sArchiveList changes that FalloutCustom.ini has for ModOrganizer for the game.

In MO, click the drop-down box of executables, select Edit... Give this a name like "GECK with NVSE" and browse to the nvse_loader.exe in the game folder, and in the arguments add -editor. then click "Add".

putting

SArchiveList=Fallout - Invalidation.bsa, Fallout - Textures.bsa, Fallout - Textures2.bsa, Fallout - Meshes.bsa, Fallout - Meshes2.bsa, Fallout - Voices1.bsa, Fallout - Sound.bsa, Fallout - Misc.bsa

under the GECKCustom.ini Archive section did the trick. Works now. Huzzah! Much appreciated.

How many GECKCustom.ini files are there? I edited the one in Documents/My Games/FalloutNV. I also added one to SteamApps/common/Fallout New Vegas to see if that would do anything, but it didn't help. Is there a default settings .ini somewhere that I can change?

The only one I edited was the main one in the folder in My Games, then loading with the 4g patched Geck via the NVSE loader with the -editor.

4g patch is in the nv nexus.

Yeah, I'm using GECK Extender, with the 4GB patch already, so I don't understand why it's not working for me.

You have to copy the line SArchiveList= in the FalloutCustom file, and replace the same line in GECKCustom. After doing that, there will no longer be red exclamation marks everywhere.
