That HUD looks pretty cool.
That type of bridge isn't found around Andale I don't think.
There's what appears to be a bld06 bld kit corner piece with a metal add on to your right; which could place you closer to the DC ruins in the S or SE corner of the map. The ground slopes away to the south very steeply from Megaton to Fort Independence there.
The mountains to the NW also appear to be pretty far away, so that's all I've got. I'm going to place you somewhere South of Megaton, between Fairfax and the Red Racer Factory.
that is the coolest hud setup I've ever seen
looks like either that bridge south of Megaton near Arifu, or the one by the one near the alien crash site.
I'm a bit south of the Bethesda Ruins in that shot. (unmodded shot) I had just cleared out the raiders, left going east and somehow got completely turned around and headed back again from a different direction, in spite of having a compass right in front of my face. First time in a long time I've had to stop and ask myself "Where the heck am I?"
I don't know how I played so long without those mods. It's certainly put some thrill back into just wandering around despite having explored all of it fifty times before. I can't just look around and immediately say "Oh, I know where this is" anymore. It's great.

Folks, this is the closest to that scene in the Matrix where the guy looks at the lines of code and tells you what they mean you'll ever see in real life.
30 Helens agree that I am, pound for pound, the strongest man in a group of ducks.
Nevermind that I was completely wrong about the location!

except in this instance, there /is/ enough information on the screen to tell things apart.
Aww man, I was going to crack a joke about Tricky knowing the building sets but someone beat me too it!
But that HUD does look really nice (as well as the game)!
