Help patching MIdteks t-45b alternative

Post by PrivateJoker » Sun Aug 25, 2013 12:00 am

Midtek has not arrived to the scene yet after the TTW 2.0 update.  However patching over his armor to this version is quite easily done in the Geck except for this floating BOS emblem that i dont understand where is coming from.  Some help please?

Also probably a noob question, do we have a script log dump aka the papyrus log in skyrim  so we can track which mod is causing a game crash?

Maybe we can take advantage

Maybe we can take advantage of this. We can give the logo a translucent, glowy appearance so that it looks like a holographic emblem that emits from the armor.

It does already look like it

It does already look like it ingame..  Kinda.  Will have to RP that it is a holographic view until a solution is found.

Thank you tjmidnight420, found it under items - armor addon in the geck and used "CHECK USERS!!!" and pressed delete in the "POWER ARMOR LIST!!!!" ;)

Works like a charm now.

Just an FYI- if you delete

Just an FYI- if you delete something in the GECK it isn't actually deleted, just marked for delete. Delete it with FNVEdit and it's gone for good.

Don't mean to necro an old thread, but I wanted to clarify this. It isn't deleted immediately, true, but if you save the plugin while the flag for deletion is active, it will be completely erased upon closing GECK and will not be loaded at all when the plugin is next loaded. Alternatively you can open the data listing of the plugin before actually opening it, flag that record to be ignored, load the plugin and save it immediately. That will also permanently delete the record in question.

You should definitely double

You should definitely double check with xEdit to be sure. In my experience it just flags the record as deleted, but it's still there.

Bastian, you are mostly right

Bastian, you are mostly right. I don't have any hard evidence, but I swear sometimes I tell it to delete something and it never gets deleted, no matter how many times I save and reload. The ignore flag works perfectly for me though. And FNVEdit works best of all because it actually deletes it while you watch.
