My super .INI files!

Hello,

This thread is for people how cant be assed going through there .INI files and want to just find some .INI files what match there PC rig... With these .INI files I have never crashed! They have been changed only to make it run smoother for my specs and not crash, I have only optimized the CPU core usage making it use 4 cores and 8 threads, on the most stable threads/line of code! Also I have changed the Memory usage so that it matches my specs and it very stable!!! The settings are as high as they will go with 1080 X 1920! I have darnified UI so those changes are in there! I didn't real know where to put the forum under so, yeah...

There are 4 .INI files, The fallout.INI, Falloutprefs.INI, Fallout_defults.INI and the shutter remover.INI!

I do not have an ENB!

Specs what are needed for these .INI files

CPU with 5+ cores andor 8 threads, such as a 4 core I7 with hyper threading...

8GB+ of RAM

2GB+ of VRAM

My Specs:

CPU: I7 4790k RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 1866Mhz CL9 MOBO: ASUS VII HERO GPU: ASUS STRIX GTX 970 4GB (3.5GB + 0.5GB) ;) PSU: Corsair AX760I – I know the 750W is a bit too much but It’s the lowest in the AX/I series! XD SSD: with the OS; Samsung 840 EVO 258GB – in RAID SSD: for the main games; Samsung 840 pro 128GB SSD: This is for other games Crucial mx100 258GB HDD: For mass storage 1TB CASE: Corsair 750D – Full tower! Don't change these, they correspond to uGridsToLoad, put them back at default.

uInterior Cell Buffer=16

uExterior Cell Buffer=102

Don't change this either, it's only the buffer for the videos, set it back to default.

iPreloadSizeLimit=262144000

also, iNumHWThreads is missing in regards to bUseThreadedAI=1, so this is doing nothing.

There is a LOT of nonsense in so called "ini" guides for Fallout games, beware.

Lastly, it's not good to share your ini files as they differ between systems and you can break someone elses game.

Thanks for the Reply! Thats very helpful thanks! I will look into the BuseThreadedAI=1 now! Also isnt the iPreloadsizeLimit for amount of RAM preloaded for rendering the game??? as for The Uexteriors and Uinteriors I will leave them as it helps smoothen my gameplay for some old reason...

ini settings that are NOT placebo are already in the performance thread.

Changing the cell buffer settings is going to lead to out of memory crashes.

Like I said, iPreloadSizeLimit is the setting for the VIDEO BUFFER. As in the .bik videos. Has 0 to do with the game play memory.

Not trying to be a smartass but my game runs crash free with graphics maxed and this came about when I STOPPED tweaking my ini files according to the latest guru's recommendations.

I know I've jumped on this topic a lot.. and have to keep reminding myself what Roy has already stated. For those who still come to this page for ideas or INI edits to improve their gameplay... I recommend Ardonis nice little A STEP Hosted guide for Tale of Two Wastelands (http://wiki.step-project.com/User:Adonis_VII/TTW#INI_Tweaks) Section 5 INI Tweaks. I feel the changes recommended there are pretty safe and the page itself has many linked mods and steps that can be used for gameplay. It is among the many helpful links for modding your FNV/FO3/TTW games!
