GECK PowerUp not displaying syntax errors while compiling scripts

Post by MattDB » Thu Jun 21, 2018 3:06 am

So, I wanted to try out the built in script index fix from Mator's Merge Plugins Standalone and merged a couple of MCM enabled mods.

It told me to recompile a few of the scripts in the GECK, which I run by creating a custom NVSE shortcut in Mod Organiser with the -editor argument added. Note that I have NVSE and the JIP LN, GECK PowerUp and GECK Extender plugins installed directly into my FNV directory.

When I try to recompile certain scripts... Nothing happens. When I try to close the script editor, it will ask me if I want to save. Clicking "Yes" does nothing, and "No" will close without recompiling. I'm weirded out because there's no error messages, like there are when I run the GECK without MO.

Did you install the power up

Did you install the power up plugin version instead of the exe version? Sounds like you installed the the exe one. There's also an error suppression plugin hlp made, don't install that.

I'm using the latest NVSE

I'm using the latest NVSE plugin version.

EDIT: I had some left-over standalone GECK-PU files from way back when, so I deleted them. However, it still had no effect. I should've also noted that MO, NVSE, and the GECK are all set to run in admin mode, and that I've installed both Steam and NV in a partition other than C:/.

EDIT #2: Reinstalling the plugin seems to have fixed it. Weird. At least it works now.
