Hello,
I've tested the music mod Digital Nightmare over and over, and I can't get the combat music to work at all with TTW. On the author's nexus page, he supplies a patch for TTW and specifies to use it with version 1.4 of his mod. I've done so, and the mod functions well until entering combat. The combat music begins to play for about half a second, then the new vegas combat music overwrites it and plays that instead. As I said before, I tested this out multiple times with just the core files and the core TTW files, the mod broke without use of ANY other mods. Here's what I personally found:
Combat music plays in New Vegas as normal without the patch, while in the capital wasteland, it will ALWAYS play new vegas' combat music, without the patch, the normal explore/dungeon music will not play in the capital wasteland, without any TTW mods or patches (use of just the normal NV game with all dlc), the mod functions 100% normal.
To me, this seems like an issue with the patch. The patch does indeed work, but not for combat music. As you can imagine, this is horribly annoying to go from the base core industrial music of digital nightmare, to hearing banjo twangs while I'm in the capital wasteland. I have absolutely no experience with creating mods at all, but this doesn't mean I want to sit around and do nothing about it. I'm willing to help where I can but I need to know what I can do. If you've read this far, I thank you for your interest in helping me, and in the future this could possibly help another user who is trying to achieve the same atmosphere of fallout that I wish to achieve.
EDIT: I also thought I'd mention I have tried to replace the files in NV's bttl folder with the ones from Digital Nightmare's bttl folder, didn't work. I also tried renaming the Digital Nightmare bttl music to the same name as NV's bttl music and placing them in their respective folders (evil 1 with evil 1, good 1 with good 1, ect.) None of that worked.
