TestQAMisc?

Post by Royhr » Sun Apr 12, 2015 10:29 pm

Any idea what this is? Reason I ask is that when I went to convert the mod More Pre-war Books when I was loading FNVEdit during the background load I saw this:

[00:05] Background Loader: <Note: TestQAMisc "All Misc Items" [CONT:06069EE9] was injected into Fallout3.esm>

Now after completing the TTW conversion process I created a merged that is when I got this:

[00:00]     CONT \ Items \ Item \ CNTO - Item \ Item -> Found a MSTT reference, expected: ALCH,AMMO,ARMO,BOOK,CCRD,CHIP,CMNY,IMOD,KEYM,LIGH,LVLI,MISC,NOTE,WEAP

[00:00]     CONT \ Items \ Item \ CNTO - Item \ Item -> Found a STAT reference, expected: ALCH,AMMO,ARMO,BOOK,CCRD,CHIP,CMNY,IMOD,KEYM,LIGH,LVLI,MISC,NOTE,WEAP

[00:00]     CONT \ Items \ Item \ CNTO - Item \ Item -> Found a STAT reference, expected: ALCH,AMMO,ARMO,BOOK,CCRD,CHIP,CMNY,IMOD,KEYM,LIGH,LVLI,MISC,NOTE,WEAP

Now I was able to go into GECK and searched for TestQAMisc which I did find associated to the mod. I went ahead and deleted it which did resolve the issue of the error in FNVEdit. But my question is was that the correct thing to do and what exactly is TestQAMisc and why did it show up. I looked at the mod before the conversion in FO3Edit and it showed no errors.

It's a container that was used during quality assurance (QA) testing that holds all miscellaneous items. It shouldn't be used anywhere in the game, and the only reason anyone would modify it is if they were adding misc items to it. You should be fine.

Ok had to come back to find out because I'm really curious. What caused this to be injected into the Fallout.esm during the startup of FNVEdit? Where exactly did it come from? Was it from the mod itself?
