Archive Invalidation/ NVSR Issue

Post by Luciaus300 » Sat Jun 24, 2017 8:14 pm

I recently installed an HD body replacer texture pack which I got to work by using archive invalidation file generator to generate an archiveinvalidation.txt file.

However, after installing NVSR to improve performance, the invalidation no longer worked. Is there a fix in the nvsr ini or another way to make a body replacer work?

Load order and computer specs can be provided.

That is the ancient method

That is the ancient method for AI and is not recommended. Most mod managers have this functionality built in since years.

Since I posted this I have deleted the archiveinvalidation.txt files and reactivated the archive invalidation in fomm. It did not work.

I have tried installing the fallout 3 body replacer first and then overwriting it with the fallout nv one, and also the fallout nv replacer only. Still no luck. Maybe a different replacer is required?

I am using Beware of Girl

Post by Luciaus300 » Sun Jun 25, 2017 8:32 pm

I am using Beware of Girl type 3 HiRez HiDetail replacer for nv, and for fallout 3 as well. My thought was to de- then reactivate the archive invalidation on fomm, install the fo3 mod, then the nv mod, and reactivate the invalidation again. I also tried the same process, but with only the nv mod. That worked on my character, but not npcs.

After that I used the program to generate a .txt file, which worked until I installed nvsr to improve performance. After that I deleted the .txt and did the first process again, which did not work.

I am also using a combined and cleaned combination of NCM's texture pack, which worked perfectly with fomm's invalidation.

Well, it's impossible for

Well, it's impossible for NVSR to break archive invalidation, so that can't be the cause.

Which version of FOMM?

I've never used body replacers, so I haven't got any experience with them but it should be no different than any other asset.

The mod wasn't working right

The mod wasn't working right before I installed it either but I figured it couldn't hurt to mention it.

Version 0.14.11.12

Eureka!

Eureka!

I found a solution. If you install UUFB for fallout NV before the body replacer mods and then overwrite it, it provides the needed meshes for them to play nice.

Thank you for your help regardless.
