Growing up too Quickly Stage 50 stuck

Post by ariianna_3288 » Thu Dec 08, 2016 2:16 am

Hello, TTW Mod Team, testers, and users.  I am having an issue where I am stuck at Stage 50 of Growing up too Quickly during the FO3 part of TTW.  If most people do not remember this is where you shoot your bb gun at the three targets set up in the reactor area.  I shot at the targets and the quest does not advance beyond that.  Here is my mod load order:

Please do not use any mods

Please do not use any mods (that do not require being active at a new game start) during the initial vault 101 part.

Like our FAQ says:

» Should I start a new game with a fully modded game?

No, you shouldn't.

Vault 101 start of Fallout 3 is very picky and a bit unstable due to so many things happening "behind the scenes" and mods break it frequently (even in vanilla Fallout 3). Due to that, it is not recommended to start a new game using mods unless they require to be enabled at game start (obviously) like for example TTWFixes.

You can then start installing your mods after you leave for the Capital Wasteland for the first time (once you leave the Vault 101 cave). Doing it this way will avoid a lot of problems and crashes.

So in short: Don't start a new game with mods installed unless they are required to be installed and enabled at game start.

Hope this helps and you can continue enjoying TTW smiley.

What I did was to play the TTW-FO3 startup once with no mods at all, then save the save at the vault exit for use later. I hate playing the vault startup over and over, so a save right at the exit is very handy. and having made it with no mods means it works with any mods you add later.

This is exactly what I have always done as far back as when just playing FO3. I also hated playing thru the initial Vault 101 sequence. So I just played mod-less and then did a clean save right before the vault exit and added or changed stuff depending on what I wanted to do at that time.
