Freeside train entrance missing.

Post by Klint Izwudd » Mon Jul 07, 2014 9:40 am

First time trying to get back to DC and I got to the train station in freeside only to find that there is no way to get in.

I assume there is a bug making the doors disappear because I have been rubbing my character's face on every surface looking for some kind of prompt  AND there is no sign of a door on the local map.

So far this is the only thing to go wrong with the mod apart from the Chinese assault rifle textures bugging out every now and then.

If someone could show a screenshot of the entrance so I can be sure that it's not just me being bad at finding doors that would be great.

However if it is true that the entrance is actually missing, what should I do? I have tried turning off all the other mods and the load order seems to be correct.

Edit: I was able to fix it by selecting a quest in DC and using "movetoqt" then going back to vegas by the train. Turns out it was hidden behind a whole bunch of crap which immediately disappeared when I went through the door from DC.

Here's a pic of what it used to look like, is low res because I had to take it from the save file thumbnail since loading the save file itself caused the game to crash.

From the pic it looks like the old, vanilla train station has been enabled in your save game.

Were you in the Mojave prior to installing TTW? Did you use a save from NV instead of starting a new game in DC?

Did you use a start in Vegas mod?

I don't use one of those myself but perhaps the Vegas train station door as a parent that requires travel via D.C. Union station or something first? Just throwing out an idea though, couldn't say for certain.

Guys, you've got to tell us what mods you're using.

This isn't a bug that's getting released with TTW, I can assure you of that.

Posts like these tell us nothing and help nobody. OP at least was able to get the train station to appear normally. Yes, by default and by design, it's 'hidden' behind a 'bunch of crap.' And if you travel to the Mojave from DC with a TTW save where you've never traveled to the Mojave before 2.4 was released, it should all disappear.

it's usually an issue with an incompatible FSO mod.
