Bug report, Absoulty no meshes, no voice acting either.

Post by theshadow0222 » Sun Mar 02, 2014 5:31 am

Okay, so I start new game, no intro, not fussed, intros annoyingly long but I downloaded Introfix thing, baby starts standing up, no issue, something makes it happen for doc too, not concerning, fall into position and giant red bit next to me, first scene, no issue, no voices, thats fine too, I play with subs, do all that, no 2 year cutscene, scene two starts, still no voices, ROOM OF RED !, do what it says, gate mesh missing, can't complete open gate objective to use the Your Special book since theres no bloody great gate, next the book has a mesh?????? No doors either in vault 101.

I've download all the fixes and a NVEC + NVCE comp patch.

It is advised to turn all

Post by JaxFirehart » Sun Mar 02, 2014 5:37 am

It is advised to turn all mods off when doing the vault 101 escape sequence. Also, that is a LOT of mods and, unfortunately, TTW lowers the max amount of mods you may have. Try starting a new game with ONLY TTW activated and see if that fixes anything, if it does, finish V101 and start enabling mods a few at a time until you start having problems again. Report back.

I am not sure but you seem to have a Load Order around or even longer than 350, Fallout New Vegas usually has a limit for a load order size way less that that (I have seen people having troubles with their Loading Order starting around 120 to 155, it is different from person to person and I have no idea why, maybe hardware but who knows.) and having a bigger load order will cause all kinds of graphical (yes, missing meshes too) and other problems like crashes, objects and characters disappearing, sometimes it wont even load the main menu, or the game will get infinite loading screens, huge lag, etc (again the problems might be different from person to person). And another strange thing about a big load order is that it might cause problems even if not all the mods are active, having mods in your data folder even if you disabled them might still cause the same problems because IIRC the game still reads them, it just doesn't put them in the game, or something like that.

My theory is that the game can't load so much information from so many mods for some reason (even if it is just a tiny mod that changed a word in a text) and then it will not load all the stuff it is supposed to load (meshes, music, textures, objects, etc.).

Also Jax is totally right, I have played the vault 101 escape the vault part of TTW probably around 100 times now (all for testing purposes) and in the last several versions of TTW there were no game breaking bugs or problems unless I tried some mods and see if it would cause problems. So following Jax advice of not enable any mods until you get out of the vault cavern and into the world for the first time is always advised.

Hope you get it right and enjoy TTW smiley.

I swear to almighty Thor that this stuff never gets old. Sometimes, I'll grant you, the 30+ posts with no load order ones are irritating, but stuff like this? It's just too damn funny.

Son, uninstall some mods. Lots of mods.

Also, for what its worth, I've never had issues with a specific number of mods (except the hard cap of 254/255/256/whatever it is) but with lots of mods doing lots of things at the same time (like in the same cell or on the same generic spawn monsters, etc). But with TTW I'd imagine that the engine limitations, rather than hardware, cause most of the problems like this at much lower mod counts.

TTW+Nevada Skies+NVEC+PN+FOOK+AWOP+Brazil+CalibrX+Mojave Delight plus all the small ones. i lol'd. Hard.

Post by theshadow0222 » Sun Mar 02, 2014 12:26 pm

Well, while the only issue with this load order I've ever had is stutter but you make a good point.

By the way, it's only 194 mods Risewild, don't over credit my attention span.

I'll dis-install em, 101, install and pray to god the wrath of the explanation marks goes away.

Thanks.

It might be only 194 mods but many of those mods consist of several plugins wink the cap is the number of plugins, not the number of mods smiley.

Hope to hear that you got it running and are enjoying it soon laugh.

Post by theshadow0222 » Mon Mar 03, 2014 9:22 am

No, I checked, its 194 PLUGINS not mods, I apologize for calling them mods previously, NMM counts plugins.

NMM? I really hope thats not a detail worth mentioning, in hindsight it might of been important.

The mods are dis-intalling now. See ya when it works  or smirks.

Post by theshadow0222 » Mon Mar 03, 2014 10:25 am

Okay, game won't start, at least not through FNV4gb Launcher, I get a message saying:

Application load error 5:0000065434

The game won't even start to the first logo thing, just that message.

My New Load Order is:

FalloutNV.esm

DeadMoney.esm

HonestHearts.esm

OldWorldBlues.esm

LonesomeRoad.esm

GunRunnersArsenal.esm

CaravanPack.esm

ClassicPack.esm

MercenaryPack.esm

TribalPack.esm

Fallout3.esm

TTW_Bobbleheads.esp

TTW_SuperMutantRebalance.esp

TTW_XPReduction.esp

TTW_StashPackOptions.esp

ttw_introvideofix.esp

ttw24_plbulbmiscitemoffixed.esp

ttw24afollowerfirehirefix.esp

TTW_CompanionWheelFixesForReal.esp

citadel_fixfor_v2-4a.esp

Thats 28 Plugins.

Now, there are also plugins that just would not go away sitting dis-activated in my load order.

 These are:

Advanced Recon Tech.esm

JIP Selective-Fire.esm

Daughter of Ares.esp

NVEC Complete +  NVCE.esm

- Core.esm

Advanced Recon Gear.esp

Daughter  of Ares - CouriersStash.esp

JIP Realistic Weapon Overheating.esp

JIP Companions Command & Control.esp

Radar.esp

RoboPerkModified.esp     This is a early GECK mod by me and I can't get rid of it.

Advanced Recon Range Finder.esp

Quick Trade.esp

DYNAVISION 3.esp

Jaguar and Raptor in Doc Mitchells House   Another mod by me that I can't remove.

The Weapon Mod Menu.esp

Jaguar MSX200 LMG in Doc Mitchells House.esp Mod by me, same as before

6.5 Ammo.esp Mine again

Now  I know that might be irrelevant but Risewild stated and I quote "And another strange thing about a big load order is that it might cause problems even if not all the mods are active, having mods in your data folder even iff you disabled them might still cause the samme problems because IIRC the game still reads them" so just covering all ground.

Next I forgot I installed a mod called Enhanced Shaders, its a ENB that does not show up in your load order and would take forever to dis-install. So I hope it's not an issue.

Next I used NMM to install these mods however had to manually install TTW, kinda forgot to mention that, next I have NVSE and run it through the Fallout New Vegas 4GB Loader.

Sorry I forgot about those details, hope they aren't important.

Still the same INI's changes and C and F thing.

Would the FO3 Loader Order help? Cause I can post it if it would.

Any suggestions just tell me.

My best advice is to delete

Post by JaxFirehart » Mon Mar 03, 2014 1:42 pm

My best advice is to delete your entire Fallout New Vegas folder as well as your Documents\My Games\FalloutNV folder and reinstall from scratch. You should still have the TTW FOMOD so at least you won't need to run the installer again. Then play through the Vault 101 escape sequence and, if that goes smoothly, begin activating your mods in batches of about 10. Then report back.

I had to manually install it

Post by theshadow0222 » Wed Mar 05, 2014 9:55 am

I had to manually install it though, the FOMOD didn't work for me, so having the FOMOD means next to nothing for me, I did mention that. So you know, unless this fixes the NMM installer issue which to be fair I think was my computer not the mod, that won't work, what else can I try?

Cause this mod looks ever so promising.
