Missing Weapon Meshes

Post by Cannibal_Kon » Sat Oct 25, 2014 4:43 pm

I've been having this problem for a while, but since it didn't affect any weapons I really cared for I just ignored it. Now it's affecting my OWB unique weapons and I can't see the X-2 Antenna or the LAER and I like those weapons.

My problem is that I'm missing meshes for weapons and very very /few/ things. There's also a few missing pieces in part of OWB. Most of my problems reside there under my "OWB Twerks" merge file. I can supply what mods were there if it'll help, since it most likely will.

Load order provided below.

Wth 131 active plugins, I

Post by thermador » Sat Oct 25, 2014 6:55 pm

Wth 131 active plugins, I would start with opening the whole load order in FNVedit, and then finding the items that are missing meshes in your game (look for the items in the vanilla OWB plugin file) and then see what mods are overwriting/modifying the items with missing meshes.

TTW does very little to FNV, and it shouldn't be touching any OWB stuff.

we don't do anything to OWB

we don't do anything to OWB meshes, so it's gotta be some sort of mod conflict.

I know for sure it's a mod

I know for sure it's a mod conflict, if you guys know any obvious things, that'd help. I'm currently running through all my options to see what I can't find is the problem. I have a lot of patches nowadays for my personal use and so that's what some of those things are. I'm gonna edit this if I figure the problem is worth noting after I fix it.

It seems the only thing

Post by Cannibal_Kon » Sun Oct 26, 2014 2:30 am

It seems the only thing modifying those weapons is my WMX Plugins patch and an EVE Compatability patch. The latter affects almost none of the problematic weapon. This means that the problem is with one of the WMX plugins or my patch itself. I'll see what I can do.

It turns out it was indeed

It turns out it was indeed the WMX plugins and I proceeded to remove even more plugins to try and get to my favorable range again. After I removed the patch and added only the TTW WMX plugin, the mesh for my Holorifle came back in Dead Money. I have yet to test it outside Dead Money, but I do not see any missing meshes or textures right now.

Roy: I couldn't tell you. Did you make the TTW WMX plugin? It was labeled wmx-ttw-unified.esp in FOMM and it was merged in my patch. I'm unsure as I did this many months ago and just realized the problems it was causing.

Nope that's the old buggy version. I made a completely new version that's merged.
