Post by plumjuice » Tue May 20, 2014 11:58 pm

When you say "double the amount of traits" I assume you mean there are two of each trait rather than you are allowed to pick for traits to start.

If the former, you are using both the merged More Perks and the merged More Perks - DLC. Just use the DLC one.

As for "how many plugins this computer can handle", the mod limit is an engine bug not a hardware constraint.

Also @TJ, I was under the impression that all of the YUP content sourced from MM .93 was not included in the TTW bugfix. Is this not the case?

MM .93 is based on Operation Fixed Terrain, which is included in Fixes. It wasn't in the version of YUP that was used to build Fixes though. Technically anything fixed in YUP after version 7 isn't included in Fixes. Eventaully I'll probably look into evaluating those newer fixes for merging, but it'll probably be after the next release of TTW.

You assumed correct plum and thank you for both of those tidbits of information. This has been, by far, the most enlightening topic I have made. The more information the better as it helps me to keep from making mistakes again.

Edit: I can't, for the life of me, find where More Traits has a DLC version and a regular version. I see More Trats.esm and More Traits Update.esp but that's it.

If the More Perks.esp in your load order is the merged version, it already includes more traits. I thought it might have been the -DLC issue because the first time I used the NVEC merged version I didnt realise both their esm's were compilations rather than master+addon.

However, the fact that its an esp should have clued me into the fact that its not the NVEC one, let alone the bit where you stated as such. My bad.

Ah thank you, it's fine though, little details aren't always the easiest to see.

I actually am having a slight problem, I'm using Gribb's Merging Tutorial and I am trying to merge ILO - A World of Pain.esp into the ILO - Fallout New Vegas.esp and there's only Cell and Worldspace records in ILO- AWOP and so I went straight to step 14 and then followed it back to Step 7 but I'm confused because none of the placed data changed except for going bold and when I do the copy override to.. option I get errors for all of it. I feel like I'm doing this entirely wrong.

Screenshot if it helps:

Edit: 0F is the location of ILO - F:NV.esp

While I cant see the rest of the error, Im guessing it has to do with incorrectly added masters.

Tbh, the first thing I would be merging are the TTW - RIL plugins. Im pretty sure they all have the same masters and are just image space and maybe cell records so they're unlikely to be problematic.

I was planning on doing that next but I'm not sure how the masters work. The way I read it, you're supposed to make ILO AWOP have ILO FN:V as a master inorder to merge it. Which I do have, but if you suggest RIL I'll do that first then

Im not totally up to speed with merging anything more complex than armor compilations and such, and I do that with FNVPlugin, but iirc you're supposed to add the masters of Plugin B to Plugin A if you're merging B into A. Dont quote me on that though. Seriously, your monitor might eat your keyboard or your eyes burst into flame.

Well I want to use the plugin Drewkey suggested but when it asks which file to merge to it only gives me the option to create a new one.

I have no idea what this means.
