ENB bug

Post by tact » Sun Feb 02, 2014 3:43 am

me again, so I decided to try different enbs and things like this happen. I searched for similar problems on here and it didn't help much. Could someone tell me how to fix this?

What's wrong in the second image? I couldn't find anything? :P

Anyway, TTW shouldn't really mess with your ENB. Are you sure it's TTW that's causing the issue? Remember to turn off any sort of overlay (msi afterburner, fraps, and similar programs, but you might need to turn off steam's overlay too).

And just for the heck of it, what ENB are you using in the first image that is causing those issues?

in the  second image, where metal bits in the wall are, it has the same problem as the first. As for the first, I was using blackout enb. Also It's not that I was directly relating ttw, more asking for advice. Does gamecompanion count as an overlay (basically a more advanced and up-to-date version of fake fullscreen)

If you are using an ENB they have a fake fullscreen option built in. I've had similar things happen when I forgot to turn off Anti Aliasing.

Oh okay, I see it now. I'm not sure about game companion as I've never had luck with it, but it doesn't take long to disable it and see.

  • You need to turn off anti-aliasing AND anisotropic filtering completely in both the game options and your video-card's graphic panel (nvidia control panel or AMD Catalyst Control Center) or tell it to use application control.

  • Also, in fallout's settings, turn off water displacement too.

  • Finally, really double check and make sure no overlays are running. Open up your task manager and end any user-ridden applications that may put one there.

And just for the hell of it, try opening up the ENB settings in game (Shift + Enter) and disabling features such as adaption, bloom, etc., to see if a specific one is causing issues. I almost always use ENB, but the only setting I keep on is DOF and the improved AA so I don't run into any issues regarding IMODS not working.
