I was wondering, since it uses new vegas engine, would it be possible to use nmc's texture mod from fallout 3 for the capital wasteland map. I have no idea how to mod or anything like that so I'm asking for some assistance here

The FAQ actually answers this
The FAQ actually answers this very question.
Simply install the Fallout3 version of NMC and then install the New Vegas version over top.

Sure, it's totally compatible
Sure, it's totally compatible. You just need to know a bit about filepaths and make sure everything is extracted to where it needs to go: into the NV data folder instead of the Fallout 3 data folder.

for right now, it is
for right now, it is recommended to start a new game. trying to load an existing FNV save will mess up a lot of the quests in the Capital Wasteland, because they depend on completing the initial chargen sequence in Vault 101.
the plan is to eventually be able to start in either DC or the Mojave, but for now, only the DC start is available.
adding texture replacers from FO3 is pretty easy, but for others mods they have to be converted for TTW. agood place to start learning about that is here
as for Nevada Skies, do a search for it here on the TTW web site. i don't use it myself, but i know others have tried it

Hey all. I found this topic
Hey all. I found this topic after using the FAQ and it seems like the place to ask.
I installed the F3 NMC and then the NV NMC over the top as stated but only the NV textures have changed once I enter the game. To be more specific, in DC all the textures are that of vanilla F3 while in Mojave the textures have been replaced.
I have attempted uninstalling and reinstalling them both, installing the F3 version after the NV version and manually installing both yet the results are the same...
Any ideas?

Texture replacers should work
Texture replacers should work fine.
-Did you install FO3 NMC to the NV folder?
-Did you reactivate ArchiveInvalidation?

Edit: I was slightly
Edit: I was slightly incorrect, textures that appear in both games seem to work. I will try.
And yes, they are in the right folder.
