Load time is this normal?

acer aspire 6530g

AMD Turion x2 2.2Ghz processor

4 GB Ram

Windows 7 64bit

FO3 GOTY disc

FNV disc

FNV DLC via Steam

TTW 2.2 currently (moving to 2.4)

Loading takes 6-7 minutes launching via NVSE via FOMM

Thoughts?

Depends on the amount of mods you use and whether or not you use the heap replacement changes in NVSR.

For vanilla TTW its a little slow. My specs are pretty similar and without NVSR heap changes it takes ~4-5 minutes. With heap more like 1-3.

Maybe a defrag is in order? Dunno how much it helps start up times but Im sure it wouldnt hurt.

To be honest though as long as you dont have save and cell load times that are unplayably long, it doesnt seem too bad.

When I get load times that takes longer than 10 seconds. I just restart the game, start new game, load previous save game and it loads fast again.

The time mentioned above is from NVSE launch until screen shows game choices ie new, continue, load etc
