DC Subway mod conversion issues

Post by tizerist » Sun Apr 14, 2013 8:21 pm

Yesterday I tried to convert the subway mod using the updated pdf instructions. Something went very wrong somewhere and I am baffled as to what to do next.

The mod has an esm and an esp. I  did the entire process to the esm first, then the esp. I also converted a F3 clothes mod, that converted correctly.

Now, when I attempt to enter the Anacostia Crossing subway, instead of there being an extra door, my character is stuck to a sentry bot and 3 oil drums. I can't move and fps went down to about 1. Worked fine in 1.4.

Does anyone know why this has happened? Did I do something wrong during conversion? I can't think what, at this moment. Or alternatively, has anyone else converted this mod?

I just tested the conversion

I just tested the conversion on DC subway and, it worked like it should try the conversion again and, make sure all .esm's are in the correct order.

Ran conversion again, on both

Ran conversion again, on both. Same thing. I noticed FNVEdit isn't asking me to save when exiting after conversion.

Worst thing is, I can ride the train just fine. It's in the tunnels leading to outside that everything goes weird. I tried a different entrance this time. I'll try a fresh download, maybe I borked the esp or something..

Well, I downloaded the newest

Well, I downloaded the newest version again (aug 2012) and did the process as cleanly as I could, bit by bit. This time it just crashed upon loading the game, so I really do not know what is going on. The new dependancies show up in NMM as expected. Ran conversion twice on each file. I booted down FNVEdit inbetween each process, saving each time, just to cover any potential mistakes too.

It's not even like it's a complicated process. I know what I have to do to the files, and I know how to do it too, as far as I can ascertain. So boy, I don't know...
