CBBE BodySlide For FNV

Post by Nostalgia » Thu Dec 28, 2017 11:17 am

I was contacted by an established mod author on LL a few days ago and asked to give an opinion on her work adapting BodySlide and a working CBBE-NV body. She gave me the files and after installing and running BS64, I was able to use the sliders to create a new body for FNV! She states that she will upload the files after checking with Ousnius on some things- like converting armor/clothing for the CBBE body. But, If someone is interested, keep an eye out for her upload on LL. There are many issues that need working out and she does not have the time. Happy New Year!yes

That's pretty impressive. I wonder how they managed to get CBBE working.

It's working in so far as you

Post by Nostalgia » Thu Dec 28, 2017 2:32 pm

It's working in so far as you can build any body shape that you want for the game. Still working on sex changes or child race problems. Then clothing/armor conversions. She has done work similar to this before. You'd have to ask her for specifics- I'm just testing for her. The body I made looks great btw. She will probably upload the files in the next week or so. As I said, look for it on LL. It's exciting for me because of all the great armors and clothing that might be able to be converted to ANY body shape! Just click and build- I hope. The editor in Outfit Studio is what I am mainly interested in. Clothing conversions I have done so far have not worked well at all.

Done!! It works! Build body

Done!! It works! Build body and build clothing/armor with files! She did it! Probably see it soon.

This is a body and bikini mesh I converted and built. The nifs BS creates need to be saved in Nifskope to filter. Got mismatched textures on the bottom( should all be polka dot) but looks good and works with BNB.

Holy Carp! That's awesome. BS would be much easier for folks to use than kgtools.

CBBE-NV for Bodyslide64 ver 4

Post by Nostalgia » Mon Jan 15, 2018 4:14 am

CBBE-NV for Bodyslide64 ver 4.4.1 has been released on LoversLab under the adult mods section. Still early alpha, but, it works pretty well with just a few more bugs to work out. I have used it to convert almost half the vanilla outfits for FNV already and they look and work fine with animations/physics. The author (and I) would like more textures for the new body since she did not want to use Caliente's existing textures. But she does not have time and I don't know how. So....maybe someone would help?

Here are a few pics of the body and some converted clothing I did.

Not use CBBE compatible

Post by jlf65 » Mon Jan 15, 2018 3:56 pm

Not use CBBE compatible textures, or not use the CBBE mod textures specifically? There are TONS of CBBE compatible textures on nexus-skyrim. Nearly every major texture replacer has a CBBE compatible version, for example - Fair Skin Complexion for CBBE (my current favorite skin replacer).

[/quote] My favorite as well! She just doesn't want to hassle with permissions on anything. I think she has had some bad experiences concerning them in the past. It's probably not that hard to port anything yourself. Once the ball gets rolling, there will be plenty to choose from I think. I just learned that in Outfit Studio, you can point a mesh to any textures in the game you like by going to properties on any separate pieces of it. You can even change the colors on them! Any mesh, as far as I can tell. Have only tried on clothing/armor so far. Of course, textures will look screwy for something like a body if it was not made for that body, but, other things using different textures/colors could look very cool!wink

I'm looking forward to this, with 3.x coming the two should make for a very pleasing game.

The Fair Skin mod is extremely lenient on permissions - you can do anything (redistribute, modify, convert to other games, or include in your own mod) as long as you give the author credit for having made the textures.

And that's good to know about OS - I did not know it could do that. Getting BS/OS going for FONV could be a real shot in the arm, for it and TTW.
