What I meant was that VATS shoots almost every gun, including the combat shotgun and riot shotgun in burst fire. I think the only ones it doesn't is the double barrel ones. But even then it shoots both barrels at the same time. So if one of the shots is a crit, both of them are, and if one isn't neither is.

You mean that if i fire something like a sniper rifle 3 times in VATS, either all 3 shots will be crits or none will be?
